Designed for production crews, videographers, and content creators, the YoloExtreme serves as an all-in-one solution for delivering live 4K video streaming, offering flexibility for any production scenario.

But does it live up to the hype? Let’s take a closer look.

At its core, the YoloExtreme utilizes the Qualcomm 8 Gen 2 processor, enabling it to stream 4K60p video over multiple HDMI and NDI-HX connections.

It accepts input from up to eight HDMI ports, one USB-C port, and two USB-A ports.

With external antennas, the YoloExtreme can wirelessly connect to cameras and other video sources from distances of up to 90 meters, ensuring secure and stable streams even in challenging environments.

It also supports up to eight wireless NDI inputs and offers connectivity through Ethernet, WiFi6, and 4G cellular networks.

The device can record video signals separately in 4K30p from four inputs or six inputs at 1080p at up to 60 frames per second, providing flexibility during post-production.

Moreover, it can instantly replay highlights in real-time, making the YoloExtreme an excellent choice for small-budget local sports streaming, events, and live productions.

The YoloExtreme also includes a range of production tools, such as graphic overlays, lower thirds, logos, scoreboard features, and countdown timers.

It can chroma key backgrounds for use with virtual or custom-designed digital sets, and it allows users to invite and route guest video streams through a web browser.

There is also a new “Director Mode” featuring a full-size Preview & Program, to easily check video sources before switching.

On the audio front, the YoloExtreme supports both Mix Minus and audio delay.

It features a built-in audio mixer that provides individual track-level control from multiple audio sources.

Additionally, it can automatically switch between cameras based on pre-set orders and durations, keeping pace with the action.

The device boasts an 11.2-inch OLED display that shows 2.5K video at up to 120 Hz, with a brightness of up to 1,000 nits.

It can transmit streams in H.264 or H.265 formats and utilizes RTMP and SRT protocols with options for SRT listener and caller configurations.

It can also be controlled remotely from a mobile device or tablet through the YoloLiv app, or over the web.

The YoloExtreme is also efficient in terms of battery life, consuming less than 45 watts of power.

Its 10,000 mAh battery can last up to 10 hours, providing all-day operation.

Pricing and Availability

The YoloExtreme has a preorder retail price of $1,999.

While there’s no information on the shipping date, it is available for preorder worldwide through YoloLiv’s network of authorized retailers, including B&H.

All told, the YoloExtreme looks to be an impressive all-in-one streaming option.

With I/O versatility and flexibility, delivering professional broadcast-type performance for live-streaming content creators on a budget, if it performs even a fraction of what it offers, it’ll be a serious streaming contender for those looking to up their local broadcast game.
