Angelbird Technologies has announced a new pocket-sized SSD hard drive designed for high-resolution video recording without relying on cloud-based servers for heavy processing.
The SSD2GO PKT Portable SSD can store up to 4TB of photos, videos, and audio tracks, and features a USB-C 4.0 3.2 Gen 2×2 connection for faster transfer speeds.

Thanks to Angelbird’s trademarked Stable Stream recording technology, the SSD2GO PKT Portable SSD delivers consistent and sustained write speeds of 1600 MB/s across all recording modes, ensuring the highest quality resolution without frame drops.
In real-world conditions, read and transfer speeds remain at a sustained 1700 MB/s, with peak burst rates reaching 1800 MB/s.
This technology facilitates near-instant file access and editing directly from the drive, eliminating the need to transfer files to a server or computer.
It offers plug-and-play convenience with server-grade speeds.
Additionally, Angelbird has included a write-protect switch to prevent accidental file deletion or drive formatting, as well as to stop unwanted data transfers to the SSD.

It is available in slate blue and yellow and comes with a 3-year limited warranty, in-house data recovery services, a 12.6-inch (32cm) flexible USB-C 4.0 data cable that is wrapped and color-matched, and a custom engraving service.
