Angelbird, a well-known manufacturer of professional-grade media cards, has launched its fourth-generation AV Pro SE Type B CFExpress media cards.
These cards utilize advanced PCIe technology to ensure efficient recording and high-speed data transfer, specifically designed for ultra-high-resolution RAW media.
According to Roman Rabitsch, CEO and founder of Angelbird, “Our vision was clear: to deliver unmatched performance, seamless compatibility, and unparalleled reliability.
These cards are built to meet today’s production demands while preparing for the challenges of tomorrow.”

Next Gen Type B Performance
The latest AV Pro SE Type B cards incorporate version 4 technology along with an upgraded PCIe 4.0 interface, significantly enhancing both read and write performance.
This improvement accelerates data transfer speeds during file ingestion, which allows creators to work more efficiently.
Thanks to Angelbird’s Stable Stream technology, the cards provide consistent recording performance, achieving sustained write speeds of up to 3150 MB/s and transfer speeds of up to 3700 MB/s – more than double the speed of Angelbird’s earlier generation Type B CFExpress cards.

Available in four capacities ranging from 512GB to 4TB, these fourth-generation Type B cards accommodate a variety of video and still image content creation workflows.
They excel at managing data-intensive resolutions, including 12K RAW video files, and can handle high-speed, high-resolution still image bursts without interruption throughout the card’s entire capacity.
Essentially, the only limitation is the duration that the camera can record a single clip.
In addition to their broad compatibility, these cards come equipped with firmware that is future-proofed, and ready to support upcoming camera models, codecs, and features.
Regular firmware updates via Angelbird’s new PKT CFexpress 2.0 Type B Card Reader to further enhance its longevity.
The supported camera platforms include RED, Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, and Panasonic.
Moreover, the robust construction of these cards allows them to endure extreme temperatures, operating from -12°C to 72°C (10°F to 162°F).
Angelbird backs its products with a three-year limited warranty, which includes hardware and software-level data recovery support during the warranty period.
