Blackmagic Cloud Store Update 1.5

The Blackmagic Cloud Store version 1.5 boasts several improvements and fixes for better syncing and sharing of stored camera files through Blackmagic Cloud Storage.

Notably, it resolves an issue that caused file sharing through Dropbox to fail.

Improvements have also been made to guest account access under various conditions to enhance security within the system.

An issue that disabled guest user account access after a drive format has been addressed.

Furthermore, guest accounts can no longer be configured with administrator access, and FTP account access has been improved.

Additionally, Blackmagic has refined the system architecture, enhancing how the Cloud Store Utility displays cloud organizations.

The update also fixes a recurring annoyance where the message “no internet” would incorrectly appear when there was no actual loss of connectivity.

Several housekeeping actions and bug fixes enhance overall performance and stability across all platforms.

However, Cloud Store 1.5 removed the option to create new Google Drive syncs, which some users may miss.

Download and Installation

All updates are available for download and installation from the Blackmagic Design Support Website, each with its minimum requirements for both macOS and Windows 11 operating systems.

It is advisable to avoid updating during ongoing projects unless the update addresses a specific issue affecting the current workflow.

Therefore, ensure that the timing for updates occurs during a lull in the workflow in case any installation issues arise that require troubleshooting.
