Traditionally, Peter McKinnon, a prolific photographer and popular YouTuber, was not impressed with the quality of 360-degree action cameras.
While these cameras allowed extreme sports enthusiasts to capture third-person views of their adventures, they fell short in cinematic quality.
That all changed with the release of the Insta360 X3, followed by the X4. McKinnon has now become a convert and is partnering with Insta360 to offer a bundle that simplifies the process of capturing that perfect shot.

Declaring the Insta360 X4 the “greatest action camera ever to exist,” McKinnon believes the 360° platform is a true game changer for content creators.
The camera provides 8K video from dual, juxtaposed lenses, allowing filmmakers to record immersive footage that captures every angle in ultra-high resolution.
In post-production, editors can choose from 360° shots and “tiny planets,” or select a 4K shot from any desired angle to tell their story. McKinnon appreciates that kind of flexibility, especially for vlogging.
“If I find myself in a scenario where I know there will be several angles to capture, I pull out the X4,” he explains.
“The ability to reframe and get the exact shot you want is incredible in those situations. You can use it in so many different scenarios, and it thrives.”

McKinnon is such a fan of the X4 that he collaborated with Insta360 to create a Pro Bundle edition, featuring his signature.
This limited edition Peter McKinnon bundle includes a foldable selfie stick, a pull-out tripod, a spare camera battery, a 256GB SD card, and a Bluetooth remote control.

The foldable 2-in-1 design of the selfie stick collapses small enough to fit in a pocket but extends to about 23 inches (58.5 cm) to capture iconic selfies or faux drone shots while remaining invisible in the frame.
While the mini remote conveniently stores inside the handle is rechargeable and comes with a protective cover that features two slots for backup microSD cards.
Finally, the selfie stick’s three slide-out tripod legs are built into the handle, creating a compact tripod configuration without adding extra weight to your gear.

The Insta360 X4 Pro McKinnon Edition retails for $629.99 and includes the camera tool, sling, and presets for $869.99 in the Limited McKinnon Edition.
The X4 camera alone is available for $499, and the selfie stick can be purchased separately for $39.99.
You can find all of these products exclusively at Insta360’s official store website, while the X4 is also available piecemeal at authorized retailers like B&H and Amazon.
However, only 200 of the McKinnon Limited Edition Bundles are available, and only in the US and Canada. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so act fast.
