The new 8K Insta360 Ace Pro 2 action camera, co-developed with Leica and powered by AI, is set to revolutionize the mobile action camera market.
It features the first dual AI chip with a 1/1.3” 8K CMOS image sensor, enabling 8K video at 30 fps or 4K video at up to 120 fps.

The Ace Pro 2, developed in collaboration with Leica, boasts a standout optical design with its Summarit Lens, which provides a 157° field of view.
Combined with Leica’s color science, this optical performance offers stunning color accuracy without distortion, even underwater.
When paired with the 1/1.3” sensor, the Ace Pro 2 delivers 13.5 stops of dynamic range, capturing every detail across various lighting conditions.

The 5nm architecture includes a dedicated Pro Imaging Chip that handles image processing while reducing noise. A separate AI chip processes movement data to ensure smoother images.
This dual-chip design also supports high frame rates and slow-motion video, providing up to 120 fps in 4K and enabling brighter, cleaner cinematic images in low-light situations through PureVideo mode.
The Ace Pro 2 employs Flow State image stabilization algorithms to measure movement metadata and reduce camera shake, resulting in smooth shots regardless of the conditions.
Additionally, the 360° Horizon Lock feature keeps the image level, no matter how the camera is oriented.

Audio quality has also been enhanced with an innovative Wind Guard that fits snugly within the camera body, reducing wind and ambient noise.
Professional-grade audio processing ensures clear dialogue as action is captured.
There is a new dual-track audio mode that works with wireless headsets from Sena, Cardo, and others, allowing for both ambient sound and dialogue to be recorded hands-free.

The Ace Pro 2 is designed to withstand underwater depths of up to 39 feet (12 meters) and 197 feet (60 meters) with an optional Dive Case.
It is built to handle extreme temperatures, functioning in conditions as low as -4°F (-20°C).

With a larger 1800 mAh battery, the Ace Pro 2 can capture footage for 50% longer when using Insta360’s Endurance Mode at 4K30p.
The camera can recharge up to 80% in just 18 minutes and achieve a full charge in just over 45 minutes.

Other features include a flip-up 2.5-inch touchscreen with 70% greater pixel density and a 6% brighter display, simplifying the process of framing selfies, vlogs, and low-angle shots.

The Ace Pro 2 syncs with telemetry data from brands like Garmin, Apple, and COROS, overlaying real-time statistics onto the footage for a professional, broadcast-quality presentation.
Users can also integrate data from their smartphones without requiring extra gear. It also features dual mounting options, including a magnetic mount and a dual-click mount design for added security.

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 is now available from Insta360 Direct and authorized retailers at a retail price of $399.99.
This includes the Wind Guard, battery, standard mount, mic cap, and USB-C cable. There is also a dual battery bundle available for $419.99, which adds a second battery.
