At Adobe’s 2024 MAX event in Miami, the video app company unveiled an advanced generative video AI app for Adobe Firefly, along with over 100 new tools for Creative Cloud.
The new app allows creators to generate realistic-looking video content from well-written prompts.
Additionally, Adobe introduced new video editing workflows in Premiere to support Firefly, AI-powered idea generation in Photoshop, and more.
The company also announced a new program designed to educate the next generation of creators.

Notably, Adobe has enhanced the Adobe Firefly Video app with even more powerful AI models, allowing for text-to-video and image-to-video capabilities within the Firefly web app.
The Firefly Video Model, the first publicly available commercial generative video on the market, offers improved user controls for text-to-video generation, including various camera functions such as angle, motion, and zoom.
Moreover, the image-to-video tool enables creators to bring still shots or illustrations to life, creating animatics with a live-action feel and timing.

The Generative Extend feature empowers Premiere Pro to not only create unique video content using AI, but also to address footage gaps, smoothen transitions, and adjust shot durations for perfectly timed edits.
Additionally, enhancements to the Generative Workspace with Firefly Image 3 enable Photoshop users to brainstorm and create concepts with visuals up to 4x faster than before.

In Premiere Pro, a new color system allows for the adjustment of colors in log footage in both HDR and SDR environments, facilitating faster post-production and offering more control over color adjustments.
Furthermore, new context-aware tools within the properties panels of commonly used video tools streamline the editing workflow, while ProRes exports are now up to three times faster.
The software also provides expanded support for various camera models.

Adobe has expanded the tools within the 3D workspace in After Effects, allowing for the import and adjustment of 3D animations and models, and integrating Adobe’s Substance 3D to provide designers with more tools to create photorealistic 3D elements.

At Frame.io, complex collaborations and workflows are now faster and simpler to manage, with added options for review and feedback. A custom metadata model allows users to tag predefined or custom fields, creating collections for specific metadata tags.
Furthermore, more camera models now support Frame.IO Camera to Cloud functions for fast and secure file uploads to the post-production environment. Frame.io also supports preproduction phases with features for casting and auditions, location scouting, and managing dailies.
Adobe has also introduced Project Concept, a multi-player collaborative effort to create and remix images for concept development, enabling creators to work on a single canvas from different locations around the world.

Lastly, Adobe has launched the Adobe Digital Academy, a global initiative aimed at training the next generation of digital content creators.
Through a $100 million commitment in partnerships, scholarships, and donations, Adobe hopes to help up to 30 million next-generation learners and teachers to master the tools of AI literacy, content creation, and digital marketing.
All the new AI tools are in Public Beta, while Frame.io features are open to select Frame users for testing.
Moreover, the content users generate be fully supported by Adobe’s new Adobe Content Authenticity Initiative, which is designed to help creators protect and gain attribution for their work.
Creators will be able to apply content creations, sign their work, and set limits for generative AI training and usage preferences within the web app beginning in the first quarter of 2025.
