At IBC, Atomos is All About Collaboration and Upgrade

They have partnered with Dropbox and Frame.io and have updated their Ninja Phone and Shinobi II External Monitor, making Atomos products more useful.

Frame.io

Atomos expands its camera-to-cloud workflow by collaborating with Frame.io. Users of the Ninja or Shogun can now send footage directly to the cloud using Frame.io Version 4.

This new collaboration aims to simplify the workflow across multiple production levels, reducing the need for disconnected tools and systems.

Frame.io V4 is designed to be flexible, fast, and intuitive, delivering personalized content and reducing the need for multiple revisions.

Users can now operate camera-to-cloud and bypass Atomos Cloud Studio, streamlining the post-production process.

For a limited time, Frame.io V4 will be available as a three-month extended trial with the purchase of any Camera to Cloud connected Atomos Monitor Recorder.

The Ninja Ultra is available until October 31st, for $723 US, while the Shogun Ultra is $1,112 US. There is a separate charge for Atomos Connect, required for Ninja and Ninja Ultra products.

DropBox

Atomos has expanded its partnership with Dropbox by offering a 40% discount on Business or Business Plus plans when purchasing a new Atomos Monitor or monitor recorder.

A firmware update will enable Ninja or Shogun-connected recorders to upload directly to Dropbox. The Dropbox Business Plan offers 9 TB of storage for a team of three or more, with file transfers of up to 100GB at a time.

The Business Plus Plan increases these figures to 15 TB and 250 GB, respectively. Users can redeem the discount when they register their new Ninja Ultra or Shogun Ultra at my.atomos.com.

Atomos has introduced updates to their new Ninja Phone mobile phone interface, adding support for the new Apple iPhone 16, 16 Pro, and Pro Max smartphones, and the iPad Pro 11 and 13” tablets.

They also designed an optional extension bracket for the Ninja Phone, enabling it to be fitted to the back of supported iPad Pro models, turning the tablets into super bright 1600-nit P3 reference monitors.

The update provides features such as 4K and 4K DCI recording with Apple ProRes, 10 Bit streaming and playback using H.265, monitoring of live video, and direct export to Frame.io Camera to Cloud Platform.
