The Super 35mm set consists of 18mm T1, 25mm T1, and 33mm T1 focal lengths with an angle of view ranging from 46.2° to 76.15°.

The 18mm lens has 15 elements in 10 groups, while the 25mm and 33mm lenses have 14 elements organized in 9 groups. The 18mm lens has 15 aperture blades, while the 25mm and 33mm lenses offer 9 aperture blades.

The micro four-thirds set includes 18mm T1 and 25mm T1 focal lengths, with an angle of view of 61.9° and 47° respectively. Both lenses have 14 lens elements organized in eight groups, with 9 aperture blades.

The magnification ratio is .15x for the 18mm and .17x for the 25mm.

This design provides a cinematically shallow depth of field with a smooth focus roll-off while minimizing chromatic aberration.

The lenses excel in low-light conditions, offering great dynamic range and capturing detailed images without increasing ISO.

The collection ensures consistent color accuracy and sharpness, maintaining visual consistency across all focal lengths.

The lenses are equipped with a .8 MOD gear for aperture and focus adjustment, minimizing focus breathing with an average rotation of 270 degrees for precise control.

Additionally, they offer a close-up focusing distance of up to 7.88 inches (.2m) with a pleasing bokeh effect.

All lenses feature an 80mm outer diameter, a 77mm filter thread, and a lens support thread to compensate for the weight on the camera mount. They are compatible with Sony E, Nikon Z, and Canon RF lens mounts.

Pricing and availability

The Venus Optics Laowa Argus T1 Cine Series is available directly from Venus Optics or its authorized resellers. Prices start at $1499 for each full-frame lens or $3999 for the three-lens set.
