Scheduled for release later this month, the BURANO version 1.1 update will provide support for live event streaming and production, as well as a 1.5x de-squeeze display when using anamorphic lenses.

The update will also introduce S700 protocol support over Ethernet, enabling remote control when using an RCP panel. Sony will also add controls for adjusting exposure, white balance, and other settings via RCP, and introduce Multi Matrick Area indication with targeted adjustment of colors.

Furthermore, BURANO version 1.1 will provide support for Sony’s Monitor and Control app, which can control up to four cameras using a tablet.

It will also include monitoring features such as waveform, histogram, false color, zebras, focus control, frame rate control, ND filter, and more. The Sony Monitor and Control App is available for both iOS and Android devices.
