We recently featured the Zhiyun Molus X60 Bi-Color light, which is so compact that it can fit in the palm of your hand.
Not to be outdone, GoDox has unveiled the ML100 Bi compact light, which looks even thinner than Zhiyun’s pocket-size design and is twice as bright.

The 120-watt ML100Bi COB LED light has a color temperature of 2800-6500K, with a CRI/TLCI index of ≥98/97 respectively. The light promises accurate cinematic color reproduction and has a LUX rating of 34300 Lux at 1 meter.
The key to the ML100Bi’s compact design is the addition of a pair of reflectors that can double and even quadruple the throw of the light emitted from the COB LED light, producing a beam between 15-36 degrees.
This innovative, compact design provides a variety of lighting options from narrow and focused lighting to wide and scattered lighting, depending on shooting needs.
These lighting options can be expanded even further thanks to a Bowens mount adapter that can be easily attached.

The ML100Bi also offers eleven immersive built-in lighting effects, including flash, lightning, cloudy, broken or flickering bulb, TV, candle, fire glow, fireworks, explosion, welding, and SOS. These effects can be adjusted via Bluetooth through the GoDox mobile app from a maximum distance of 30 meters (98 feet).
There is also a dedicated mode button that switches to FX mode when the select dial changes the parameters. The effect can also be adjusted from 1-100 percent along with the brightness of the light itself.

The ML100 Bi can be powered by various options, including DC, a 14.8V V-mount battery, or even a USB-C connected power supply and power bank for backup power.
The light is kept cool by dual fans, which engage after a high-temperature warning is given that the lamp bead temperature is too high. There is also an automatic shut-down feature once the temperature exceeds safe limits.

The ML100Bi has dimensions of 122mm x 110mm x 46mm (4.8 x 4.3 x 1.8 inches) and weighs 487g (17 ounces).
Its slim and lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for mobile content creators and filmmakers who work in small spaces and remote outdoor locations.

Pricing and availability:
The price and availability of the Godox ML100Bi COB LED light is yet to be confirmed, but B&H has it listed for a very affordable preorder price of $199.
The light comes with an ML-L15 reflector, power adapter, protective cover, holder, and power cord. Shipping is listed as “coming soon.”
