Lume Cube has announced new RGB Light Tubs that promise to give content creators the “ultimate lighting tools” for shooting on location.
The new 12-inch Lume Cube Tube Light Mini and 48-inch Tube Light XL were developed from the input and inspiration of content creators and a community looking for what the company calls “game-changing illumination,” at an affordable price.
“We are constantly inspired by our community of creators and innovators,” shares Lume Cube CEO and co-founder Riley Stricklin.
“The Tube Light Mini and Tube Light XL are going to be a game-changer for so many. We are so excited to see what our community creates using these powerful lights.”
The company proudly states that the “right light changes everything” and that the Tube Light line offers a design that is capable of outputting the full spectrum of RGB-based colors with adjustable white balance color temperatures of between 2700K and 7500K.
The lights also have an adjustable tint control from green to magenta, which provides pinpoint control of lighting no matter the situation.
The lights have a CRI rating of 96+ and enjoy a brightness rating of 920 lux at .5m when set at 100% brightness.
The lights can stay fully illuminated for one hour and forty minutes at 100 percent, nearly three hours at fifty percent for the Tube Light Mini, and up to five hours at half power for the Tube Light XL when operating under battery power.
The light can also double as a power bank for charging mobile devices.
The lights also have special lighting effects including strobe, lightning, fire, candle, siren, loop, and TV modes, with customizable frequencies to adjust and dial in those effects to the content creator’s liking.
Content creators can also adjust the parameters of the light to create digital gels through Lume Cube’s Lume Control app.
The app connects to the lights via Bluetooth and provides not only complete control for adjusting brightness and color hues but to also accurately match colors through the “photo eyedropper tool.”
It is available for download through both the iOS app store and Google Play.
The lights are also robust, crafted from premium aluminum construction, and weatherproofed for protection against foul weather conditions.
The overall weight of the Tube Lights is .77 pounds for the 12-inch Tube Light Mini, and 3.08 pounds for the 48-inch Tube Light XL.
The lights come with 1/4-20 tripod mounts on the magnetic end caps, the lights can be placed magnetically on metal surfaces, or with the included mini tripod to place the light just about anywhere in the scene.
There is also a wrist strap, USB charging cable, and a molded hard shell carrying case.
