Loupedeck is moving into live video streaming and switching with the new Loupedeck Live S control console, which will be able to switch between applications during a live video stream, at the touch of a button.
Live Streaming has become an integral part of content creation through the internet. No matter what kind of niche content is being produced, creatives are looking for easy-to-use gear that can enable them to go live at a moment’s notice through portals such as Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, and others.
Loupedeck is looking to compete with other streaming decks including the Elgato Stream Deck+ and the Blackmagic ATEM Live Streaming Switcher.
Loupedeck says that their touchscreen button design keeps live-streaming users in mind by enabling them to access preprogrammed applications to get up and running.
There are fifteen touch buttons and four tactile buttons which can be custom programmed for favorites and user preferences. There are also two dials to control dials, zoom in and out of the screen, or simply just scroll down the screen.
The Loupedeck S also has custom audio switching software to have full control of both the video and audio feeds, as well as being able to program computer keyboard shortcuts in order to streamline the overall creative workflow, no matter what app you are using. This makes the entire experience infinitely controllable.
Not only is it capable of being a live video and audio switcher, but the Loupdeck Live S is capable of controlling software directly on your PC, enabling users to control other functions such as lighting, audio editing, and other supported applications.
Therefore, users who have a computer interface for their video lights can use the Loupedeck Live S to adjust light temperature and color levels remotely while in the live feed for a change of mood.
Or change camera angles when doing a “let’s play” session while also changing games or consoles, or adding some fun and interesting online graphics with a quick touch of one of the 15 buttons users have access to.
The Loupedeck Live S supports live streaming software including the open-source OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Voicebox, eCamm, Twitch, and Creative Cloud apps such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, and more.
Users also have access to the Loupedeck Marketplace where they can find over 200 downloadable tools to expand the Loupedeck Live S capabilities.
Loupedeck is looking to compete with other streaming decks including the Elgato Stream Deck+ and the Blackmagic ATEM Live Streaming Switcher. As such, the retail price is very competitive too, at $179. It’s available for preorder at B&H and other authorized dealers.
Shipping was expected to begin November 9th and has been for early bird backers on Indiegogo. But it’s still listed for preorder for the rest of us, while the Loupedeck website says that orders are being processed and filled within one to two business days.
