Teradek isn’t waiting until CineGear to show off their latest live production streaming tools, taking them to Las Vegas this week for InfoComm.
The company plans on showing off how to create live, low latency streaming productions and do it with a quartette of hardware to boot.
Chief amongst this quiver of live streaming tools is ART, or Adaptive Reliable Transport, which Teradek claims will offer ultra-low latency streaming over public networks.
ART works by examining the network characteristics and traffic and then optimizes video, audio, and other settings for the best, consistent performance during the broadcast.
The ART device uses many of the same designs behind Teradek’s Bolt wireless system for a near zero delay wireless video transmission.
Next comes the Spark 4K. Through the Spark 4K system, live performances can be routed to a screen via HDMI in full 4K with a latency of fewer than .001 seconds, giving the audience a close look at what’s going on on stage without losing sync or a distracting lag. Spark can also wirelessly transmit the video up to a distance of 500 feet.
Meanwhile, the WAVE live streaming monitor offers on-location mixers the ability to receive the live video stream with a network bonded signal that has encoding, multistreaming, and recording functions visible on a highlight viewable touchscreen display.
Easy to set up, the Wave monitor can stand on its own retractable legs, or connect to a camera for the operator to reference. Power also can be maintained through hot-swappable battery plates or a USB-C power connection.
Lastly, the Prism Flex encoder system becomes portable with a smaller design that can deliver streaming in 4K HDR with reliable and color-accurate point-to-point streaming.
The Prism Flex connects via 12G-SDI and HDMI for easy integration and workflow, making it ideal for just about any live production including broadcasting, corporate video, church services, and even filmmaking.
Teradek will be showcasing these and many more products at their InfoComm booth, W2655 beginning Wednesday, June 8-10, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Teradek will also be featured this weekend at CineGear, June 9-13, at the Creative Solutions booth, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
