Marshall Announces New Line of NextGen Production Monitors

Marshall has kicked off their NAB 2022 with a new line of next-generation production monitors, including the V-702W/V-702W-12G, ML-702, and ML-503 models. The models offer a slim new design that is 5” wide and can show two 1920 x 1200 bright and colorful images.

“As rack space becomes scarce, these monitors provide exciting features in a compact format, as well as low power consumption and heat output,” says Greg Boren, Product Marketing Engineer at Marshall Electronics. “With the recent emphasis on remote production, these units are perfect for fly-packs, compact vans, and other busy spaces.”

The V-702W and V-702W-12G will also feature the typical monitor tools including waveform and vector controls, pixel mapping, a peaking filter, selectable markers, and log/HDR side-by-side comparison. The HDR comparison is sure to be a popular feature for color graders looking to fine-tune the look of a film project with extreme precision.

Other features include HDMI and 3G-SDI digital inputs, active loop-through, audio de-embedding, and monitoring via front panel headphone jacks. There are also three-color LED tally indicators for knowing which monitor is active on a live broadcast.

Although the ML-702 has a 7” dual monitor with multiple input types, it can fit in just 5″ of rack space, thanks to an integral tilt mount. Digital inputs feature 3G-SDI, HDMI, and AV connections that also support active loop outputting.

The ML-503 Triple 5″ monitor can fit into the space taken up by two 3.5” rack units with the same tilt mount design. Front panel controls give access to all functions. It also has three-color tally lights (red, green, and yellow), while rear connections consist of 3G-SDI, HDMI, and AV inputs, and all digital inputs loop through.

Also being showcased, are audio monitors including the AR-AM4-BG-2 quad analog audio monitor; the AR-DM51-B with SDI, HDMI, and analog connections; and the AR-DM61-BT-DT, which supports Dante, AES67, MADI, SDI, AES3, and analog connections.

The monitors will be featured at Marshall’s booth C1307 in the Central Hall from today, through April 24th.
