LUMIX GH5S and BGH1 Firmware Update v2.2 Enables External Blackmagic RAW Recording

Another great news for Lumix GH5S and BGH1 owners. The just-released firmware update v2.2 unlocks the ability to capture 4K up to 60fps and Anamorphic (4:3) 3.7K, 12-bit RAW video output via HDMI to the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR in Blackmagic RAW.⁣

There’s also focus ring control added to the GH5S, and BGH1 with compatible lenses.⁣⁣ Users can choose between V-Log L or Rec.709 on the Live View monitor when recording RAW. Other essential assist features that can be utilized in this mode include V-Log L View Assist, WFM (Wave Form Monitor), Vector Scope, and Zebra Pattern.

You will also need DaVinci Resolve or DaVinci Resolve Studio to playback and edit Blackmagic RAW data. DaVinci Resolve Studio is required to deliver projects using Blackmagic RAW data in resolutions over 3840×2160.
