Sound Devices 7.13 Firmware Update Now Available to Download

If you are a proud owner of any of the Sound Devices PreMix recorders including the MixPre-3, MixPre-3M, MixPre-3 II, MixPre-6, MixPre-6M, or MixPre-6 II, you can now download the latest firmware update which finally addresses the annoying issue referring to a state that your recorder might have been entering occasionally where there were level discrepancies between channels.

On top of that, all recorders now deliver a higher current on USB-A when the unit is powered via USB-C providing up to 500 mA. Users will need to use a powered hub if their peripherals require more than 500 mA.

What makes the MixPre II recorders unique is the fact that these are the world’s first field recorders capable of USB audio streaming in 32-bit float mode.

They also come with an optional built-in noise-reduction plugin called NoiseAssist which was previously introduced with version 7.00 of the software.
