The Brand New iMac and iPad Pro Now Boast M1 Chips

On its first official event for 2021, Apple has spilled the beans on the latest tech the company has been working on lately. The biggest news is that the M1 chip has come to the new iMac and iPad Pro. That way, the latest Apple iMacs will deliver up to 85% faster performance with the 8-core CPU, allowing filmmakers to edit up to four streams of 4K footage, or a single stream of 8K footage in Final Cut Pro.

The iPad Pro, on the other hand, is expected to deliver up to 50% faster CPU performance than previous models, thus blurring the line between laptops and tablets even further. You can find all details in the video below.

The newcomer has a 24″ 4.5K retina display with 11.3 million pixels and 500 nits of brightness. Besides the impressive resolution, the new iMac display has a wide P3 color gamut which provides a larger color space complemented by True Tone technology for a more natural viewing experience.

The brand new iMac comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports which provide USB 4 support and can even connect to a single Apple Pro Display XDR in full 6K resolution. Apple also included a Full HD 1080p FaceTime HD camera with Apple’s latest camera ISP in the M1 chip. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0 technologies.
