Sony FX9 Firmware 2.01 Released

After some users reported that they’ve seen horizontal noise in the FF crop 5K scanning mode of the FX9 when the automatic distortion compensation was active, Sony has taken notice by releasing firmware 2.01 to address this minor issue.

Apparently, this was a bug that was found in early versions of firmware 2.0. As a reminder, Version 2.0 expanded the camera’s shooting and recording capabilities by including FF Crop 5K mode, new 4K DCI options, User 3D LUT support, RAW output support, HDR Support, AF Improvements, added frame rate options for Slow and Quick Motion, and much more.

If you already have updated your camera with the firmware 2.0 and you are experiencing the issue, you should install the latest 2.01 version to fix it. You can download the software by using the following link.

The installation/upgrading procedure manual is included in the zipped download file with the main firmware module.
