It’s here! Apple has just unveiled the all-new MacBook Pro which seems to be another exquisite piece of hardware engineering delivering unrivaled performance and computing power in such a form factor.
The newcomer boasts an immersive 16-inch Retina Display with 3072×1920 native resolution and 226ppi, the latest Intel Core i9 processors, up to 64GB of memory and 8TB of storage, next-generation graphics with up to 8GB of VRAM alongside a new advanced thermal design, making it the most powerful MacBook Pro ever released on the market.
There’s also now a new Magic Keyboard with a redesigned scissor mechanism and 1mm travel for a more satisfying user experience highly demanded by creative professionals across the board.
Other noteworthy enhancements that this new 16″ model brings include a dedicated Escape key as well as inverted-T arrow keys for further convenience when typing. Replacing the function keys in the top row of the keyboard, the Touch Bar features a Retina-quality display and supports multi-touch input.
The power button, on the other hand, contains the Touch ID sensor, so you can quickly log into your MacBook Pro using your fingerprint. In terms of I/O, the unit comes with four Thunderbolt 3 ports providing transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s while also supporting 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 and device charging.
Users can also take advantage of the onboard Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0 technology to connect to a wide variety of compatible peripherals. Additionally, the latest MacBook Pro features FaceTime HD webcam and a headphone jack.
The available CPU options include the latest 9th-Gen Intel Core i7 and i9 processors, all the way up to the 2.4GHz 8‑core Core i9 with a Turbo Boost up to 5.0GHz. The onboard RAM starts at 16GB and can be configured all the way up to 64GB.
The base model of the latest MacBook Pro sports the modest 512GB of storage whereas the most specced up version can be configured with a staggering 8TB while combined with an AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series graphics with up to 8GB of onboard storage.
The just-announced MacBook Pro also features a 100Wh battery which seems to be the largest ever in a Mac notebook delivering up to 11 hours of wireless web browsing or Apple TV app video playback. On top of that, the flagship laptop sports a completely redesigned six-speaker, high-fidelity sound system providing “the most advanced audio experience ever in a notebook”, according to Apple.
