DaVinci Resolve 16.1 Public Beta 2 is Now Available

Blackmagic Design continues to improve the overall functionality of DaVinci Resolve 16 while collaborating closely with a selected group of avid users who provide extensive feedback regarding the platform on a regular basis. In fact, the latest Public Beta 2 version of the software that is now available for download addresses many of the issues and bugs users have encountered while working with Resolve 16.1 Beta.

As a result, DaVinci Resolve 16.1 Public Beta 2 improves the creation of close up edits using facial recognition to automatically reframe and zoom in on faces, zoom in and reframe shots. It also adds support for Fujifilm F-Log colorspace while also improving the overall playback performance in the Media, Edit and Cut pages.

Additionally, the Public Beta 2 update adds support for BMPCC presets in the Fusion 3D camera and camera tracker tools, adds tooltips with track names on the mini track view, improves metadata accuracy when restoring or importing projects, provides more responsive scrubbing for long clips and much more.
