Blackmagic Design has just released Camera 6.4 Update, which adds audio meters and menus to the Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter that allow for talkback levels adjustment, XLR audio input and PTZ. In the latest 6.4 update the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 also gets better HDR metadata support and improved jam sync functionality by retaining synced timecode after cycling batteries.
A new status display with audio meters and menus to Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter makes for a smoother user experience, now allowing for adjustments to Camera Fiber Converter XLR input levels as well as levels for headset and microphone gain.
The latest update also adds support for PTZ de-embedding from ATEM switchers through the SDI Camera Control Protocol, the ability to use program audio feed as source from the DB25 connector, and additional configuration options for talkback production and engineering channels.
For most of you out there though, the big thing in Camera 6.4 Update relates to the Blackmagic Camera 6.4 – which now gets improved jam sync timecode accuracy after playback for Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 as well as the ability to hold jam synced timecode after a power cycle.
Additional improvements have also been made to HDR SDI metadata support, pixel recalibration, LED behaviour and clip playback. This update also improves support for Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 LUTs and overlays in Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder and URSA Studio Viewfinder
