Earlier today, Apple introduced their latest 15″ MacBook Pro that has been upgraded with a 9th Generation Intel Core eight-core processors with a burst speed of up to 5 GHz. The brand new 15″ 8-core MacBook Pro should be able to deliver two times faster performance than the quad-core MacBook Pro and 40% more performance than the 6-core MacBook Pro.
Other than that, the overhauled machine still features the same well known 15.4″ Retina display with 2880 x 1800 resolution alongside P3 color gamut support and True Tone display technology that automatically adjusts white balance to match the color temperature of the surrounding light. Additionally, the 13″ model is getting a little boost as well with faster quad-core processors with Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.7 GHz and SSD storage up to 2TB.
Apple also claims that video editors can now edit up to 11 simultaneous multicam streams of 4K video in Final Cut Pro X on the 15″ pro notebook. Content creators should also be able to get 70% faster 4K exports out of Adobe Premiere Pro as well as 2x faster renders in Blackmagic Fusion Studio.
The latest MacBook Pro can still be used to charge and connect up to two 5K displays or four external GPUs via the available Thunderbolt 3 ports on the sides. Other notable features include blazing fast SSD storage up to 4TB, up to 32GB of RAM, the Apple T2 Security Chip for enhanced security, Touch ID, large Force Touch trackpad, immersive stereo speakers with wide-stereo sound and more.
There’s also a slight improvement in the third-generation keyboard on the new models that otherwise looks the same but part of its mechanism is now built with a new material, which should reduce some of the problems and make it quieter, according to Apple.
