You might remember when three years ago at NAB 2015, Blackmagic Design announced six new cameras including the URSA Mini 4.6K EF, URSA Mini 4.6K PL, URSA Mini 4K EF, URSA Mini 4K PL, Micro Cinema Camera as well as the Micro Studio Camera.
Some of these are still a weapon of choice for a multitude of creative professionals and production companies around the world, but maybe the time has come to see a brand new device from the Australian company which in fact hasn’t announced a new camera for more than a year or so.

Apparently, things are about to change on Monday as the company has already teased its latest generation Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K with a gigantic large format banner put at the Las Vegas Convention Centre earlier today.
Of course, we can’t be 100% sure until the official Blackmagic Design press conference kicks off on Monday, April 9 at 9:30am PDT. Make sure to mark this event as well as check out our blog regularly for further details. There’s more exciting news just around the corner from other major brands as well, so stay tuned as the extensive coverage of NAB 2018 on 4K Shooters blog continues.
