The camera is now capable of shooting 4K high-quality video up to 60fps, 2.7K 120 fps as well as 240 fps in 1080p. The Hero6 Black also features a 2-inch touchscreen display, GPS, advanced wind noise reduction, stereo microphones, and is now waterproof up to 33 feet without requiring a separate case. The Hero6 Black is will hit the shelves with a retail price of $499.

Just like its predecessor, the GoPro HERO6 Black boasts rugged, rubberized exterior resistant to the elements and waterproof to 33′ without a housing. The rear side of the camera is dominated by a 2″ touchscreen LCD for quickly navigating menus. The flagship camera can also take photos up to 12MP in burst mode up to 30fps.

Other neat features on board include time-lapse recording, raw file option, wide dynamic range mode, advanced wind-noise reduction, voice control functionality, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and much more. It’s also worth noting that the HERO6 Black is the first HERO with 5 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity providing faster video transfer times when compared to the previous models.
