With the broad adoption of 4K acquisition and the introduction of more and more resource-intensive applications, the world of aspiring filmmakers and content creators has never been more demanding when it comes to reliable and robust hardware technology. Video editing is just another aspect of the creative process that requires way more computing power and faster sequential speeds to handle those growing demands.
This is where the latest Asus 15.6″ ZenBook Pro might come in handy aiming to outshine rivals with a plethora of appealing features and excellent processing power. The ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501VW sports the last-generation 2.6 GHz Intel Quadcore i7-6700HQ Skylake processor, a dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M graphics card and UHD touch sensitive display along with a full-sized and an extremely comfortable keyboard with a numeric keypad.
The 15.6″ IPS display of the ASUS ZenBook Pro is driven by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics card with 2GB of VRAM that delivers exceptional visuals and variety of viewing angles at a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160. This premium video editing laptop also features a 512GB SSD that utilizes the PCI 3.0 x4 lane to provide blazing fast performance as well as 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. There’s also a decent amount of ports on the ASUS ZenBook Pro. The model is equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 port, featuring a Type-C interface, 3x USB 3.0 ports, a full-size HDMI port and an audio jack.
Furthermore, transferring content to this drive from SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards has never been easier due to the built-in card reader placed on the right side of the laptop. The 6-Cell Lithium-Polymer (96 Wh) battery of the unit should give you roughly around six hours of use if you are browsing the web, but if you tend to edit video and perform other resource-intensive tasks expect the battery life to last only three to three and a half hours at the most. The keyboard is nice and comfortable featuring a numeric keypad that is a fantastic addition to video editors who use a lot of shortcut keys when editing.
Ultimately, the ASUS ZenBook Pro is a sturdy build laptop with classic design delivering blazing fast performance with a lot of computing power under the hood. According to Matthew Moniz, the creator of the video review above, with this extremely competitive price tag, the unit is offering the best bang for your buck in its category as it’s currently selling for $ 1,400 at authorised resellers around the globe.

Gtx960 card is for HD video. For UHD you’ll need at least gtx970. This laptop maybe great for HD but definetely not for 4K.
