We like giving away stuff, just as much we love winning free stuff by entering contests and giveaways, and we certainly hope you guys do as well. Especially when the giveaways offer filmmaking gear. Recently we gave away a couple of Blackmagic Design quad posters to a couple of lucky readers. And today we’re doing another giveaway.
As mentioned yesterday on our Facebook page, we’re giving away something a bit different this time, something small, but really useful. So here’s the new 4K Shooters Giveaway:
We’re giving away a Lumix 14mm f2.5 ASPH Pancake lens!
The lens is in mint condition having been used on only one music video on my BMPCC, which was used as C-camera/dashboard cam for a few driving shots around London. It has clear optics and is just as good as new; it comes with the original front and back caps. No original box, but you will get a really well packaged lens (in a non-original box) safely in the mail.
This lens is the perfect mate for a GH4 or BMPCC riding on a 3-axis brushless gimbal or a steadicam-like stabiliser. It is very light and compact, but at the same time with an aperture of f2.5 and a good FOV and sharpness. Retails for about $320 new at the moment. The giveaway ends on Saturday, October 31st, 2014 at 8:00 GMT.

Just got my new gh4 for adventure filmmaking, unfortunately my lens have a crop factor with the new adapter and a lens like this is exactly what I need!
This plus my blackmagic pocket will be amazing!
I see this being great for being able to use a slower shutter speed!
I would use the lens with the blackmagic pocket cinema camera and use it mainly for music video work. 🙂
I will use the lens with my GH4. I will be using it to record video of my little one and take still photography of her and the family.
Plan on using this with my Blackmagic Pocket Camera.
i would/will use this lens for slow shutter photos, timelapses & filming bmx @ night/lowight situations
Excellent stuff guys, keep them coming. This lens is really versatile, very compact. On my BMPCC I don’t even feel i have a lens attached. Great for run and guns, stuff gimbals, and photography as well.
We’ve got about 10+ days until the end of the giveaway, spread the word. Cheers
I’m currently using my GH4 with vintage lenses. It gives a great effect but it would be lovely to have a wide, native lens!
I could defiantly use that awesome Lens on my BMBCC, which I use as my A camera for filming short films.
This lens would definitely get some good use on my GH4. 🙂 #fingerscrossed
I will use for Lumix DMC-G3.
Not just about free stuff. I’m time to time looking at 4kshooters to learn more about my toys and new toys that are coming
Looking to put this to use on a GH4.
I will use for Lumix
Hoping to use this on a BMPC!!
Looks like a killer lens
